Question by jdnmsedsacrasac1: If another country treated prisoners the way the US does some of those held as terror suspects what would you?
say?

If any country, you pick one, I don’t care, did water boarding, extremes in temperture, sleep deprivation, “stress positions” such as forced standing for hours on end what would you say.

If any nation, you pick one, I don’t care, put people in a cell, without charges being filed, not allowed contact with an attorney, or to see evidence against them, what would you say?

Isn’t W’s policy the exact same thing we charge Sadam with? Doesn’t that make us as bad as them? Why can and does the US do the exact same thing it deems the act of a terrorist.

If you think it makes the world a better place then I think you are mistaken. But that’s just me.

If any country, you pick one, i don’t care. Cut of peoples hands for spitting out there gum on the sidewalk, what would you think about that? its very true . they do this to there own citizens, so just IMAGINE what they would do to our own US soldiers! sleep deprivation? i don’t think so!

You call sleep deprevation or being made to stand a torture? Try beheading!

It actually fuels more hatred for the U.S., and thus new terrorists daily. Bush fails to comprehend that it can be a serious setback in the “War on Terror”.
People who support the “eye for an eye” (Hammurabi’s Code) don’t mind stooping to the terrorists’ level.
Many of us also believe we should treat them as criminals, but in a humane way, which is required by the Geneva Convention. Not to mention, weakening the Geneva Convention will deteriorate our image further and put more risk upon our brave soldiers everyday.
Why should we treat them in terrible conditions if they are already detained? They are not going anywhere.

Do you mean prisoners of war or just prisoners in general? Believe me prisoners in this country have it made except for not being free to be on the outside.

I’m really confused by what your question is??????

Come back when you can add beheading to that list. Til then, you don’t have a leg to stand on.

I would do the same things I do now and that is to let my representatives in government know that I don’t approve and it should be stopped.

    Well let’s see…..

Water Boarding, temperture extremes, sleep deprivation and :stress positions versus beheading, yep were the bad guys……………..NOT

As for putting them in a cell with no charges these guys were not walking down the street’s of Omaha, they were on a battlefield in Iraq/ Afganistan trying to kill our soldiers and if given the opportunity would kill you and your family.

These people want to kill us, and anything that can be done to protect us (within limits) should be done. If sleep deprivation, a cold room or making them stand up will induce these people to give up information then so it.

I’d rather have the terrorists suffering in confinement than the good fine citizens being killed by them. I haven’t the slightest bit of sympathy for the confined terrorists. May they rot in hell.
